Our Story
Back in the 1950s, Alan’s great uncle started a cabinet company. This is where his father began his career, later opening his own business in the early 90s. Growing up around the trade, Alan learned the value of skilled workmanship and the importance of building lasting relationships in the trade. Now he gets to continue the family legacy through his own business, Thornhill Cabinets.
Our Approach
We bring years of cabinet knowledge, engineering expertise, and organized project coordination together to provide a seamless, trade-focused cabinetry experience. From initial proposal to final installation, our goal is to deliver reliable, high-quality work with minimal disruption for designers, builders, and their clients.
Before launching the business, Alan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University. He spent years in high-precision manufacturing and quality engineering at industry leaders AW North Carolina, Wolfspeed, and Cree Inc. Today, Alan combines his woodworking craftsmanship with advanced 3D modeling to turn complex architectural concepts into build-ready blueprints. Overseeing fabrication from raw materials to final assembly, he ensures every custom build meets the highest standards of structural integrity and beauty.

Jaime earned her Bachelor’s degree from Lee University and spent several years in small business marketing and retail before choosing to stay home to raise her two sons. Today, she serves as our dedicated liaison between interior designers, project managers, and our workshop team. Jaime ensures all the details have been locked in before crafting begins. She keeps project handoffs crystal clear and manages all progress billing and accounts with total transparency, giving our partners confidence and clarity at every phase.
