Our Story
Back in the 1950s, Alan’s great uncle started a cabinet company. This is where his father began his career, later opening his own business in the early 90s. Growing up around the trade, Alan learned the value of skilled workmanship and the importance of building lasting relationships in the trade. Now he gets to continue the family legacy through his own business, Thornhill Cabinets.
Our Approach
We bring years of cabinet knowledge, engineering expertise, and organized project coordination together to provide a seamless, trade-focused cabinetry experience. From initial proposal to final installation, our goal is to deliver precise, high-quality work with minimal disruption for designers, builders, and their clients.
Alan Thornhill - Founder & Lead Fabricator
Before taking the path of entrepreneurship, Alan earned a degree in engineering and gained extensive experience in manufacturing and quality control. This background gave him a deep understanding of mechanics and manufacturing processes — knowledge he now applies directly in our workshop to ensure precision and quality in every project.
Jaime Thornhill - Office Manager & Project Coordinator
Jaime manages the office and is the main point of contact for the early stages of your project. She coordinates the initial details and ensures everything is ready before Alan takes over to draw and build your cabinets.
Our Workshop
is a 6,000 sq ft manufacturing space located in Sanford, NC so we can easily access the Triangle and surrounding areas. We buy lumber and plywood and make everything in-house, as well as paint and install.
